The WFICC Council has approved in principle support for a new project which aims to reduce preventable deaths among severely ill patients. For the first phase of this project, a group of clinicians and researchers from all over the world are conducting a rapid survey* about Essential Emergency and Critical Care (EECC)** and they need your help! EECC is the most basic, effective care that should be given to all critically ill patients in all hospitals in the world. The research team need input from doctors, nurses and other health professionals with experience from different fields and settings worldwide to reach consensus around the treatments and actions to include in EECC.
I would be most grateful if you please disseminate the survey link to your society members and encourage them to participate. The survey should only take the 10-minutes to complete by clicking https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/EECCSurvey/ by latest 8th November.
On behalf of the WFICC Council, Dr Tim Baker (tim.baker@lshtm.ac.uk) and Dr Karima Khalid on behalf of the EECC team, thank you very much in anticipation of your assistance and for encouraging your members to complete the survey between now and 8THNovember.
Kind regards and best wishes,
Phil
