The Turkish Intensive Care Society, established in 1978, continues its activities as one of the world’s largest intensive care associations. The leading aim of our association’s establishment is to contribute to the advancement of the field of intensive care in our country and to organize activities that will improve our members’ professional skills and knowledge. We have been holding biennial National Intensive Care Congresses and International Intensive Care Symposiums for 43 years.
The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly altered the balance of our life, forcing our behaviors to adapt to a new normal. As a consequence, scientific organizations started to be held online. In this context, our association held The International Covid-19 Symposium in June 2020 with the participation of 900 people and became a pioneer within the virtual congress arena, following with the National Intensive Care Congress in November 2020 with the interest of 3500 attendees.
In line with the course of the pandemic, 23rd International Intensive Care Symposium will be held as an online symposium on 19-22 May 2021. This 4-day symposium aims to provide an up-to-date review of the most recent developments in the field of intensive care and management of the critically ill. The meeting is open to all physicians, nurses, and other health care providers in intensive care medicine.
I look forward to seeing you in this one of the most important scientific events in the field of intensive care.
